Our Story
Phi Beauty Spa was founded by Genny and Effi with a shared passion for artistry, precision, and client-centered beauty. What began as a commitment to mastering their craft has grown into a trusted space where clients receive high-quality, personalized treatments in a welcoming environment. Built through dedication, continuous education, and hard work, Phi Beauty Spa is driven by one simple goal: to help every client feel confident, cared for, and beautiful.
Effi
My journey began with a Master’s degree in Accounting in 2012, but my true passion led me into the world of beauty. In 2016, I became a licensed esthetician in Istanbul, specializing in microneedling, facials, and laser treatments.
In 2017, I earned my Microblading certification in Dubai, where I worked with many clients — including Turkish singer Günel (@gunelzeynalovaofficial)— and soon realized that Permanent Makeup was my calling.
By 2022, I advanced my career with PhiBrows, Lip Blush, and Eyeliner Tattoo certifications under Master Hany at Nano Brows Academy, and began hosting professional workshops across Turkey.
In 2023, I moved to Florida, met Genny, and together we founded Phi Beauty Spa — a studio built on passion, artistry, and precision, bringing European PMU standards to Jacksonville.
Genny
Hi, I’m Genny! I am the founder of Phi Beauty Spa, and everything I do is rooted in growth, intention, and genuine care for people. I am deeply committed to always learning and evolving. I am a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Permanent Makeup with 4 years of experience. I regularly invest in advanced trainings and new techniques so I can continue to bring the best to my clients and my team.
Even with 4 years in this industry, I hold myself to a very high standard. I am detail oriented and a true perfectionist when it comes to my work. I treat every single client like family, making sure they feel cared for, comfortable, and confident from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave.
I was born in Jacksonville, and while this is home, I have also lived in California for 6 years where my mom stays in Irvine. I visit often, and that exposure has shaped my vision in a big way. I truly believe Jacksonville has so much potential, and I am passionate about bringing in fresh, elevated, and unique techniques that help raise the standard here.
As a founder, my goal has always been to create a space where results speak for themselves and every client experience feels above and beyond. Alongside my business partner Effi, we have built this business together with intention and consistency, and this October marks 3 years of growing, learning, and creating something we are incredibly proud of.
Meribeth
Hi, I’m Meribeth! I proudly represent the beautiful and diverse culture of Panama, and I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. With over six years of experience as a waxing specialist, I’ve developed a true passion for helping people feel confident and comfortable in their skin. From hard wax to soft wax, sugaring, facials to vajacials—if it involves self-care and private parts, I’ve got you covered! I also teach sugaring and waxing training courses!
I treat every service with precision, care, and a little bit of fun. I’m known for making everyone feel comfortable, no matter what service they come in for. My clients know me as someone who’s not only knowledgeable and skilled but also charismatic and deeply attentive to their needs. I believe self-care should be enjoyable, empowering, and never awkward. As your esthetician, I’ll make sure you feel relaxed, respected, and maybe even laugh a little along the way!
